DAY 1 (FRIDAY): BILBAO - ESPINOSA DE LOS MONTEROS (El Expreso de la Robla train)

 Your luggage is picked up at 2:00 pm at Bilbao's La Concordia station. At 3:00 pm you board the train. Once you've settled into your compartment, the El Expreso de La Robla train heads for Espinosa de Los Monteros, a pretty village in the Las Merindades region of Burgos province. Departure by coach for a visit to the town of Frías and the Tobera waterfalls.

DAY 2 (SATURDAY): ESPINOSA DE LOS MONTEROS - CISTIERNA (El Expreso de la Robla train)

While you enjoy breakfast on board, the train arrives in Mataporquera.
Your coach takes you to the splendid Romanesque sites of Palencia, on the Way of St. James: Carrión de los Condes, Frómista and Saldaña. After a tour of the city, you'll have some free time before continuing your journey to visit the Canal de Castilla and the Romanesque church of San Martín. Free time and lunch. In the afternoon, visit the Roman Villa of La Olmeda and its magnificent collection of mosaics. Back on the train, departure for Cistierna, where you have dinner.

DAY 3 (SUNDAY): CISTIERNA - LEON (El Expreso de la Robla train)

While you're having breakfast, El Expreso de La Robla takes us to San Feliz. You'll reach the city of León by coach and visit its historic center, San Isidoro and the cathedral. Free time and lunch, end of trip around 4:00 pm at Hotel Real Colegiata de San Isidoro de León (DDP, DJ).

EL EXPRESO DE LA ROBLA LUXURY TRAIN - DESCRIPTION

El Expreso of the Robla is a cruise train with three breakfast lounge cars, a bar with Internet access and several sleeping cars, each with private compartments. The train's classic, welcoming decor invites you to enjoy your rail cruise.

STANDARD COMPARTMENT

A compartment with two berths and a full bathroom where every inch is optimized for maximum comfort. It features two bunk beds (0.70 x 1.80 m each), a wardrobe, a reading lamp, adjustable air conditioning and its own bathroom with hydro-massage shower, bathroom sink, toilet and hairdryer.

LOUNGE CARS

La Robla Expresso's three lounge cars are the communal areas in which daily life takes place. You can have your breakfast served here, or spend your free time reading the daily press or a book from our library. A TV and video library are also at your disposal. The bar car opens in the morning and remains open throughout the day.

TRAIN CREW

The entire crew of the El Expreso de La Robla train is able to offer its services in several languages, and is at your complete disposal 24 hours a day.

As a participant in the El Expreso de la Robla train trip, you benefit from free transfers on regular trains operated by Spanish railroads (1) to reach the starting point of the tourist itinerary and (2) to return at the end of the trip within Spanish national territory only.

* We would be happy to offer you a return trip from France or Belgium, either by train or by plane.

CONDITIONS OF SALE AND CANCELLATION

• If you cancel more than 30 days before departure, you will be charged a cancellation fee of 30% of the total cost of your trip.
• Cancellation between 30 and 15 days: 30%.
• Cancellation between 14 and 5 days: 60%.
• Cancellation between 4 and 1 day: 90%.
• Cancellation less than 24 hours or no-show on the day of departure: 100%.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Itineraries may be subject to change, due to circumstances beyond the Organizer's control, or due to various problems that may arise during abnormal operation in managing the capacity of the network on which the Tourist Trains run. In such cases, the Organizer will adopt the appropriate solutions for the continuation of the organized trip, at no extra cost to the customer, and will communicate them to the customer. If the customer continues the trip with the solutions proposed by the Organizer, he will be deemed to have tacitly accepted the said proposals.

The Organizer assumes no commitment as to the punctuality of its trains, since its objective is not the mere transport of passengers, but leisure, pleasure and compliance with an established tourist and service program.
