Europe by Train: Round trip From Paris to Rome via the Alps and the Riviera

A unique itinerary by train through the most beautiful landscapes and cities of Europe. Travel comfortably by day trains and explore a handpicked selection of destinations between France, Switzerland and Italy. This is a semi-guided tour designed for independent travelers, including hotels, train tickets, assistance and optional excursions.

Day 1: Arrival in Paris – 1 night

Morning & Afternoon: Arrive in Paris and check into your centrally located hotel. Depending on your arrival time, enjoy a self-guided stroll through the historic neighborhoods of Le Marais or along the banks of the Seine.

Day 2: Paris to Lucerne – (train : 4h)

Begin your Europe by train experience with a comfortable ride to the heart of Switzerland.
Morning: Board your direct TGV Lyria train to Switzerland. Enjoy beautiful views as you cross Eastern France and the Swiss countryside.
Afternoon: Arrive in Lucerne and settle in. Explore the Chapel Bridge and the medieval Old Town.

Day 3: Lucerne

Morning: Optional excursion to Mount Pilatus or Mount Rigi.
Afternoon: Free time to enjoy the lakeside promenade or a boat cruise on Lake Lucerne.

Day 4: Lucerne to Lugano (via Gotthard Panorama Express) – (Panoramic train : 3h30)

Morning: High-speed train to Rome.
Afternoon: Arrival and check-in. Begin discovering the Eternal City with a visit to Piazza Navona or Trastevere.
Evening: Overnight in Rome.

Day 8: Rome

Morning: Optional guided tour of the Colosseum and Roman Forum.
Afternoon: Free time to explore the Vatican Museums, St. Peter's Basilica or the Trevi Fountain.
Evening: Overnight in Rome.

Day 9: Rome to Florence – (Train : 1h35)
