Please note: train traffic between Paris (or Lyon) and Milan is interrupted due to a landslide. Until further notice, we advise you to fly to Milan for this tour. However, an alternative itinerary by train - rather restrictive - can be proposed on request.
DAY 1: MILAN
Flight or train to Milan on request.
(Rail journey via Switzerland until summer 2024)
Individual arrival in the capital of Lombardy by train or plane.
The driver meets you and takes you to the hotel, where you leave your luggage.
The afternoon is devoted to discovering the magnificent city of Milan.
The guide picks you up at the hotel reception desk for a walking tour of the city, revealing its architectural beauty, starting with Piazza Duomo and its majestic Cathedral of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the 19th-century Vittorio Emanuele II Gallery and the Sforza Castle with its garden, Milan's "green lung".
The tour ends in the central district: stroll through the pedestrian streets of Brera and select a restaurant for a typical Italian dinner.

DAY 2: MILAN - CINQUE TERRE (Train)
The driver picks you up at the hotel reception and takes you to Milan station.
Your train journey in Italy begins: Early departure by train to Cinque Terre. In 2.5 hours, you arrive in Liguria, in Monterosso al Mare, the first village in the series.
Settle into your hotel and slip on your hiking boots: off you go to discover the countryside. The footpaths along the coast offer breathtaking views of the Italian Riviera.
You have two days to make the most of your stay in the Cinque Terre and visit the villages of Monterosso, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola and Riomaggiore. With their colorful houses, terraced vineyards and small ports, these five typical, centuries-old villages are the emblem of the Italian Riviera.

DAY 3: CINQUE TERRE (Train)
Second day in the Cinque Terre, a UNESCO world heritage site since 1997.
In Riomagiorre, glide between the back-to-back houses following the curve of the cliff. In Manarola, enjoy panoramic views of the historic buildings erected on the rocky spur overlooking the sea. Wonderful scenery surrounds you from sunrise to sunset.

DAY 4: CINQUE TERRE - MILAN (Train)
End of your stay in the Cinque Terre by train.
Return by train to Milan, as the towns and villages of the beautiful Liguria region pass you by. On arrival in Milan, free time according to flight or train schedule (not included).

Cinque Terre Express train (Trenitalia)
Operated by the Italian rail company Trenitalia, this special train runs between the UNESCO World Heritage villages of Monterosso al Mare, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola and Riomaggiore (4-6 min journeys).
The villages are accessible by rail from the west coast of the "Italian Riviera" via Monterosso al Mare, the largest station in the Cinque Terre and the only one serving regional trains, including high-speed trains.
