DAY 1: PARIS - ALPES (Venice-Simplon-Orient-Express train)

Your train journey France - Italy begins in Paris Gare de l'Est: you board the famous Venice-Simplon-Orient-Express. This luxury night train, heir to the Grand Orient Express, is one of the most luxurious in the world. A butler in blue livery will welcome you and seat you.

Your romantic dinner is one of the highlights of the journey. Prepared by the train's French chefs, it is served in one of the three dining cars. All the passengers have obviously made an effort to dress up*, the train's motto being: "You can never be too well dressed on board the Venice-Simplon-Orient-Express".

Before returning to your compartment, you may want to sip a drink in the piano-bar carriage...

DAY 2: ALPS - DOLOMITES - VENICE (Venice-Simplon-Orient-Express train)

You wake up to a dream setting: your luxury overnight train crosses the Swiss Alps.
Breakfast is served in your compartment at a time of your choosing.

You spend the morning enjoying the scenery, mountains, lakes and small hamlets... Relax in your compartment or in the bar car, where you can chat with other passengers. Enjoy a gourmet lunch in the calm and luxurious atmosphere of one of the Venice-Simplon-Orient-Express restaurants. Through the window, the scenery of Italy flashes past: you pass through the impressive Dolomites mountain range.

Later in the afternoon, you will be served tea in the compartment of your Paris Venice Simplon Orient Express train.

Finally, the train crosses the Venice lagoon.
You prepare to disembark at Santa Lucia station. Your stay in Venice begins.
