As the capital fades into the distance, the picturesque charm of the English countryside unfolds before your eyes. Take your seat in the dining car and enjoy a signature Cornish Afternoon Tea curated by Michelin-starred chef Simon Rogan, featuring exquisite produce sourced directly from Cornwall.
As the train glides through the North Wessex Downs and the rolling landscapes of Somerset, the magic of the journey deepens. For ultimate relaxation, visit the Wellness Suite.
By evening, the train joins the historic West Somerset Railway, offering spectacular views of both land and sea.

BRITANNIC EXPLORER – FOR A LUXURY TRAIN JOURNEY THROUGH ENGLAND
The United Kingdom is already home to several world-renowned luxury trains — from Belmond’s Royal Scotsman, where passengers savor freshly caught scallops near Kyle of Lochalsh and sip warm whisky in Keith’s historic stables, to the British Pullman, offering elegant day trips to stately homes and castles in beautifully restored 1920s carriages.
Starting in July 2025, the brand-new Britannic Explorer will continue this grand British railway tradition. Its exclusive itineraries across England and Wales pay tribute to the golden age of travel and the timeless art of slow exploration.
On board, the Britannic Explorer celebrates the art of slow travel, featuring a Victorian apothecary-inspired bar, indulgent interiors, and a fine dining experience curated by Michelin-starred restaurateur Simon Rogan. To top it all off, an elegant Observation Car invites passengers to gather and watch the silvery mist of the stars as the train glides through the night.
TWIN / DOUBLE CABIN
The twin and double cabins accommodate one or two guests in an intimate 7.8 m² space.
In the twin cabin, two deep-blue armchairs evoke Britain’s wild coastal beauty, while the double cabin features a luxurious sofa bed — perfect for relaxing and admiring the view during the day. The green tones recall the country’s lush countryside.
Each evening, the steward transforms your cabin into a cozy sleeping retreat.
Artwork by British artist and designer Luke Edward Hall adorns the walls, adding a touch of contemporary flair. Each cabin also includes a folding marquetry table, bedside tables, wardrobes, a marble vanity with mirror, and an elegant en-suite bathroom with shower.
GRAND SUITE
Each Grand Suite (11.2 m²) embodies the very best of modern British design, with its own distinct personality.
The suite features a double bed, wardrobe, dining table, armchair, sofa, and marble bathroom with shower. Materials such as brass, oak, velvet, antique mirrors, and fluted glass evoke the charm of the Grand Tours era, while intricate motifs draw inspiration from traditional English garden parterres.
WELLNESS – SPA
The Wellness Suite turns your rail journey into a serene escape. Time slows as the gentle rhythm of the train soothes your senses, inviting calm and introspection.
Its marble interior and glass wall sconces reflect the fluid shapes of the sea, creating a tranquil ambiance.
The menu of bespoke treatments leaves you restored, refreshed, and rejuvenated — ready for restful nights and invigorating days aboard this extraordinary train.
