Rail Tours

We have created two categories of rail tours ; escorted and bespoke. Escorted Tours These tours have either been created by discoveryTRAINS and during which there is a member of our staff present throughout the tour, or are rail tours proposed by partner companies and whose interest and quality has been validated by us. These latter tours may have more emphasis on landscapes and scenic value with less activities and options - ideal for the leisurely exploration of Europe's countryside. The accompanying personnel will be either from discoveryTRAINS or from the partner company, however discoveryTRAINS remains sole responsible for the tour. As these tours are land-based only, you have control of how to get to the departure point, whether it be by regular or charter flights, train travel or even boat. We will be happy to provide you with information on the different possibilities available. Most of our tours last seven to ten days and include train travel, transfers, accommodation and a varying number of meals, visits and activities that are specified in each tour programme. Some tours include optional activities too, and details of these are available at the time of booking. Bespoke Tours We will happily discuss with you any requirements that you might have for a tailor-made tour, whether it be for a group of friends, an association, a works council or a company. These tours can be purely recreational or sightseeing orientated or include visits, activities and cultural events. Our involvement can vary from supplying an itinerary and schedule to complete organisation of the tour. Please don't hesitate to contact us. In addition to our tours, we also offer our "Great Escapes"; short-stay holidays combining train and hôtel, or train and mobile home and we also have a service dedicated to European rail ticketing. |
